Meta's WhatsApp is testing a new feature on iOS devices. This feature that's tested would allow users to use multiple phone numbers on WhatsApp on the same iPhone. This feature has already been on Android devices since 2023. Now, the multi-account feature is in beta on iOS.
The multi-account simplifies account management and allows users to log into multiple accounts within a single app. The feature lets you manage both personal and work/professional WhatsApp accounts on one device, so you don't need extra devices or apps like some parallel app.

How it works
The multi-account works in the sense that you can easily manage two or more WhatsApp accounts on the same device. You can choose to start fresh with a new main account or link/connect an existing account by simply scanning a QR code connected with the existing account. Each account works separately, so your chats, notifications, backups, and settings stay separate and organised.
However, it's important to note that the multi-account is still under development for all iOS devices, with no specific date for release. Currently, iPhone users can link/connect the same phone number to a few different devices, such as WhatsApp for Mac, another iPhone, or the Web Desktop option. It works like Instagram, where you can add multiple accounts in the same app.
