OKash Loan is one of the most popular loan app in Nigeria. The app comes with easy and simple registration. With just bank verification number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN), user can register for the account easily.

However, it’s important to let you know that while registering with OKash Loan in Nigeria, the loan app will request permission to access some certain data from your mobile devices. These data includes your contact list, location, SMS, calendar, and camera.
The loan app claims that the data is needed to assess your creditworthiness. Although, I don’t know how true it is but all I know is that other online lending platforms do the same.

Requirements to Register OKash Loan
To be eligible to register for OKash Loan in 2025, you must meet some certain criteria and requirements:
- You must be between the age of 20 and 55 years.
- You must be a Nigeria national with valid means of identification.
- NIN and BVN are the only documents required.
- Bank account for disbursement must be linked to your BVN otherwise, your loan will not be disbursed even if you’re qualified.
- Information like full legal names, age, employment status and details, home and office address will be provided.
- In some cases, you may be required to bind your debit card for auto-loan repayment.
Once you can meet up with these criteria and can provide all the necessary documents, then you’re good to go register for the OKash Loan and apply for a loan.
How to Register for OKash Loan
Follow the steps highlighted below to successfully register and apply for OKash Loan in 2025:
- First of all, you need to download the OKash Loan App. The OKash App is available on Google Play Store. You can click on this link to download the app or visit the App Store on your phone. The Okash Loan App is not available on Apple App Store, you can also install the APK on APK stores.
- Register an account. Fill out your basic information such as legal name and date of birth as registered on your BVN and NIN.
- Confirm your address and you can also attach email address—although it’s optional.
- Confirm your BVN with facial recognition verification and submit your NIN. A code will also be sent to your phone number, confirm the code and continue with the registration. Note, the code can also be received with number not attached to your BVN.
- Once all the required information and documents have been filed appropriately, submit your application and wait for credit check—the action that will determine your credit limit.
- You can walt a few minutes or come back to check the app for the final application result. If approved or disapproved, you'll receive an in-app notification.
How to Apply for OKash Loan
Once your credit score has been checked and you’re approved with a credit limit. Then you can proceed to obtain the loan. Okash Loan amounts range from NGN 3,000 to NGN 1,000,000, depending on the applicant’s creditworthiness.
To apply and obtain the loan, click on “Get Loan” and you will be prompt to submit your bank account details. Search for your Bank and input your account number. You name will be prompted for verification, click “continue” and your loan disbursement will be automatically credited within five minutes.
Note: While the loan amounts range from NGN 3,000 to NGN 1,000,000, the interest rate is 1.2% per day for a fixed term of 15 days. The interest rate is also affected by loan amount and repayment period.
How to Repay OKash Loan
There are two repayment options on the OKash Loan App; Automatic Debit via Card and Bank Transfer. The OKash Loan repayments can be made through automatic debits from the registered bank card or manually via the app by clicking the “Make a Repayment” button and transfer the due amount to the designated bank account.
