Moniepoint POS is one of the most used payment terminals in Nigeria. Buying on data on the POS machine for customers is not a service exception of what the terminal can do. As an agents, you should be able to purchase both data and airtime for your customers on the Moniepoint POS machine.

In other words, we can simply say “how to sell data on Moniepoint POS” because we are not purchasing it for ourselves. We are buying it on behalf of our customers. Therefore, the right expression should be how to sell data on my Moniepoint POS terminal.

How to Sell Data on Moniepoint POS

If your customers want to buy data from your Moniepoint POS, follow these steps:

  • Press any key on the Moniepoint POS terminal to display the screen.
  • Click “Moniepoint POS” and sign in to the POS account using your password.
  • Click “Buy Data” and select customer’s service provider (e.g MTN, GLO or Airtel).
  • Enter customer preferred data plans and input customer phone number.
  • Confirm the order once again and input your Moniepoint pay authorized code to authenticate the purchase.
  • The customer will receive the data on their phone number within a minute.

The data plan amounts will be deducted from the POS account and you can extra for offering data services on Moniepoint POS. For example, if the data per GB cost N250, you can charge your customers N350 per GB, retaining a gain of N100.

Buying and selling of airtime is also possible on the Moniepoint POS terminal. However, ensure you have sufficient funds on the POS account before you engage in any of the purchase services for customers, otherwise the transaction will be declined due to insufficient funds.
