Many OPay users are looking for ways to either clear or delete their transaction history data on the fintech app. Well, I can’t say particularly why they’re searching for such method but what I can say is that OPay doesn’t currently support clearing or deleting transaction history on the app.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) accept no such act for fintech companies and banks under its watch. So, no bank or fintech can legal stand to say its allows its customers to delete or clear their account transactions histories.

However, as of 2024, you can only check, download, and view spending and expenses statistics on the OPay app’s transaction history section. The ability to clear, archive or delete transaction history is not available on the mobile money app.
When you click on “Transaction History” in the OPAY app, select “All Categories” to view categories of transactions history you can access. This will save you time of scrolling through bunch of different histories.
On the “All Categories” part of the OPAY transaction history, you can view bank deposit transactions history. You can also access transaction history for services like reversal, card payment, USSD, Investments and Savings, Betting, Bills and many more.

On the other hand, you can select status of the transactions to better help you sort them out. Status like successful, pending, failed, to be paid and reverse are available on the “Status” section of the OPay’s Transaction History.
How to Download OPay Bank Statement
Instead of clearing, archiving or deleting transaction history on OPAY, you are chanced to download the full bank account statement. You can simply download the OPAY statement by logging into your account via app.
Click on “Transaction History” and then tap the “Download” button at the top of the page. Set a “timeframe” for the statement and enter your preferred email address. You will also be required to input an address that you want the statement to carry.
Once you finish filing the information, click “Proceed” and confirm your actions. The statement will be sent to the provided email address within 5 minutes. You can open your Gmail app to access the account statement.
How to Clear or Delete OPAY Transaction History
To delete or clear your transaction history and data on OPAY, you will need to delete your OPAY account completely. However, to delete your OPay account, you will need to send an email to OPay customer service at customerservice@opay-inc.com and request for an account deletion.
You will be required to provide proof of ownership and genius reasons for the account deletion request deletion. Once your account deletion is successful, all your data including personal details and transaction histories will be cleared and erased from OPay.
