How to Delete Transaction History on OPay
The financial policy that applies to Moniepoint not be able to delete transaction history on its POS terminal or banking app is also applicable to OPay. In other words, there’s no way to delete your transaction history on OPay.
If you’re thinking about privacy and security of your financial transactions, you can close down account and request for data formation on OPay database. Once your account is deleted and all the data it is cleared, then all the transaction history will be deleted as well.
So, whether you’re an iPhone users or Android phone users, there’s no way to delete transaction history on your banking app. This rule is mandatory by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The apex bank gives all financial institutions in Nigeria that there should be no way for account holders to delete/clear their transaction information.
This implies that, it’s not only OPay and Moniepoint customers are not allowed to delete their transaction history, other banks in Nigeria too don’t allow their customers to delete their transaction history.
